This is the beautiful garden that sits outside my front door. It’s kept looking lovely by the women who own the home we live in. And they’ve kept it especially lovely this spring and summer. It seems like the garden is changing almost every day, as one plant or flower blossoms and brightens, and another fades until next year.
Several of the homes on either side of ours also have pretty gardens out front and I love to walk down our block on a warm evening at dusk and admire all the colors and shapes. One house a few doors down has some small shrubs that were a stunning bright magenta color during the month of April and now, even though they otherwise look exactly the same, they’re completely green, no trace of purple to be found. It’s fascinating.
I think I’d like a garden of my own some day.
